On 15th June 2005, the Department of Health announced that all PCTs will need to implement the NICE guidance on patient education models in diabetes types 1 and 2 (Technology Appraisal no. 60), from January 2006.
This conference will not only reveal the current thinking on the subject, but will provide delegates with practical advice and tools to deliver the educational programme. The conference will also enable delegates to seek clarification directly from the Department of Health / Diabetes UK working group, following the group’s recent publication on patient education.
